What I'm building
That was quite a nice World Cup. I really enjoyed watching it. But I'm glad my sleep cycle is finally going to get back to normal. For us in India, every game was an all-nighter. It fortunately worked out well for me because I usually work at night (and it paired well with the constant threats from Antrhopic to take Fable away. But I think it was quite extreme. It's been a month of not sleeping well. I'm glad it's over and things can get back to normal now.
The trouble with Fable is that it's spoiling us. It's so much better than the other models that I can't bear to go back. But here's the catch: to keep using Fable, I'd need either endless credits or a bottomless wallet. And that's true for everyone. And that leads to a scary, but common conclusion: that those with money will build more and faster, while those without will lag behind. The rich will get richer, the poor will struggle to break out. The usual cycle, until maybe one day open source models catch up, and the government builds and sponsors data centers that the public can access.
